Movies This Week: Kaatrin Mozhi, Boy Erased, Taxiwaala make for a good watch!

 

It is the week after Diwali and movie releases this time around were considerable in numbers in all languages. A look into which ones fared well and which ones are worth of a watch this weekend:

Tamil
Competing against Thimiru Pudichavan (Review Here) and Utharavu Maharaja, Kaatrin Mozhi (Review Here) not only emerged as the better film amongst the three but it also was well received both critically and amongst the audience.

The movie which is about a home-maker finding her calling as a Radio Jockey and facing hurdles to withstand her job, stands with a 63% rating aggregate making it our top recommendations for a movie watch this week.

English
Spin-off of the Harry Potter series and the second film of the Fantastic Beast pentalogy, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Freddie Mercury's biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody (Review Here) and Nicole Kidman, Joe Alwin, Troye Sivan starrer Boy Erased (Review Here) all make for a good watch this week.

While Crimes of Grindelwald starring Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp and Jude Law makes for a delightful watch for both Harry Potter and Johnny Depp fans, Bohemian Rhapsody with all its gloom fares for a one time watch.

Boy Erased which speaks about the 'gay conversion camps' stands out for leaving the most impact amongst the three and tops our recommendation list in this week.

Telugu
While Ravi Teja, Illeana starrer Amar Akbar Antony, which is a identity disorder infused revenge drama has put up just about an average show, Vijay Deverakonda's supernatural thriller Taxiwaala (Review Here) makes for an entertaining one-time watch in theaters this week. 

Hindi
Not a Bollywood star but a 2 year old has been put forth to entertain Hindi movie buffs this week. However the film Pihu (played by Myra Vishwakarma) with all its innocence and cuteness, has only about managed to raise audience's blood pressure by constantly showcasing a baby's life under threat.
