Sarkar Vs TN Sarkar: Was the police for A.R. Murugadoss' arrest or protection?

It was a tense evening for team Sarkar last night, as a lot happened over a mater of few hours. First there were AIADMK leaders who came out scathingly than ever on the depiction of certain scenes in the film and demanded that those scenes be removed. Then there were AIADMK party members who vandalized posters and cut-outs of the film outside movie theaters, following which word started doing the rounds that team Sarkar has agreed to have those objectionable scenes removed.

Amidst all this, producers Sun Pictures sent out a direct tweet that the Tamil Nadu police had reached A.R. Murugadoss' residence to arrest him and the director further added that they banged on his door several times and returned after finding that he was not there.

While industry people such as actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vishal, Khushbu, G.V. Prakash and director Seenu Ramasamy have come out to show solidarity with team Sarkar, people in the media have reported saying that the police was for posted for A.R. Murugadoss' protection and not for his arrest.

While confusion prevails to the exact reason police were stationed, director C.S. Amudhan made a lighter moment of all of this by openly declaring that the TN government failed to provide this much publicity for his own film.

I strongly object to the fact that we were not given similar publicity, we also tried our best. This is totally partisan behaviour. #IStandWithSarkaar
