Sarkar story controversy: I dedicate Sengol to Vijay, says Varun Rajendran!

Earlier today, writer Varun Rajendran who had claimed that the story of Vijay's upcoming movie Sarkar was the same as his 11 year old registered script Sengol came to an amicable compromise with the team after he had moved High Court. Post the hearing Varun was seen addressing the press along with South Indian Film Writers' Association K. Bhagyaraj where he was quoted to have said,

" I did not want a ban on Sarkar.. I just wanted due recognition from the director. I created the story for Vijay in 2004..It was Vijay's father S.A. Chandrasekhar who taught me how to fight and I only fought for recognition...I am very happy that they’re validating my contribution. I dedicate my story to Vijay and SA Chandrasekar sir’s family,”

Bhagyaraj, who has been maintaining the same stance from the beginning expressed that though it was unfortunate that both A.R. Murugaoss and Varun came up with the same story-line, he was happy about both parties coming to a mutually beneficial compromise. He also reiterated that Vijay has been magnanimous through the whole deal and assured him to 'do what is right'.

Meanwhile there is no clarity on the exact recognition Varun will be given in the film. However, director A.R. Murugadoss is said to have agreed to display the following message for 30 seconds immediately after the thanks card:
