• On deciding to produce a film for his long-time friend Arunraja Kamaraj: "Kanaa is not a help to my frnds, it's my duty. I'm just paying them back for what all they have given me. My friends did not introduce me to smoking or drinking and took me on the right path. Aarthi (his wife) asked me to do this film for Arunraja Kamaraj instead of buying land or a house."
  

• Reactions from industry colleagues: Sivakarthikeyan revealed that it was director R. Ravikumar who suggested Dinesh Krishnan as cinematographer for Kanaa. The actor then mimicked Anirudh's reaction to Kanaa which was, 'Super.. super.. it'll be a great hit.."

• On Kanaa: "A farmer's daughter goes on to play for India in international women's cricket is Kanaa's line.. Last 20 minutes of the film focusses on international matches, it has come out on a grand scale. ..It's not a small budget film. I've spent big on what is required for the film." 

• On Production No. 2: Sivakarthikeyan announced that his next production venture will be a fun movie with a social message. TV actor Rio will be making his debut as lead while popular Youtubers group Blacksheep will also featuring in this project. Sivakarthikeyan also said, "Profit isn't a priority for Kanaa. If it reaps rewards, I'll use the money to introduce another new team." (Watch Video here)

Starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, Kanaa is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and has Sivakarthikeyan playing a cameo in it. Sivakarthikeyan's daughter Aaradhana has made her singing debut with this film , which also stars Sathyaraj and new face Darshan in it. Watch the teaser of the film here.
