The noise surrounding the allegations levelled by Karthick Naren against Gautham Menon just got a little louder, thanks to a tweet (seconding Karthick's claims) by Siddharth Rao, who is one of the co-producers of Nenjam Marapathillai, a Selvaraghavan directorial. Unsurprisingly, very similar to Naragasooran, Nenjam Marapathillai too was announced with Gautham Menon as producer, later launched with Madan's Escape Artistes Motion Pictures as co-banner (Naragasooran was launched with Badri Kasturi's Shraddha Entertainment as co-banner) and has not been released even though the film was censored with an U/A in April, 2017 (Naragasooran is yet to be sent to censor even though the film was wrapped in November, 2017).
Siddharth Rao and Geetanjali Selvaraghavan's GLO Studios is also one of the three banners that were named producers in Nenjam Marapathillai. If one may recall, when quizzed time and again about what's causing the delay in the release of the SJ Suryah starrer, Selvaraghavan has always brought in the producers' angle if not Menon's directly in his statements.
- March, 2017 - Friends. ‘Nenjam Marappathillai’ will be censored anytime. The producer wants a big release and as a director I have to follow him
- August, 2017 - “Deeply touched by all your queries about the release of Nenjam Marappathillai. Soon. Very soon! The release date is not in the director’s hands. The producer owns the film and Madan sir knows the best. Thank you for your patience and faith,”
- Feb, 2018 (he was quoted in an interview) - "The release of Nenjam Marappathillai is still a mystery to me. As a director I have finished my job on a time. And it was completed 10 months back. Now I am waiting for its release like others
