Touted to be a psychological action thriller, Madharaasi starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead is an upcoming AR Murugadoss film that is set to release on September 5, 2025. The movie with Anirudh Ravichander for music has so far had one single release titled Salambala in Tamil (sung by Sai Abhyankkar with lyrics by Souper Subu), Selavika in Telugu (vocals by Dhanunjay Seepana, and lyrics by Srinivasa Mouli), and Tadappa in Hindi (sung by Dhanujay Seepana with lyrics by Ritesh G Rao). 

Now Madharaasi is all set for an audio launch and trailer release. Sri Lakshmi Movies, the production banner behind Madharaasi, which is Sivakarthikeyan's 23rd film, and Junglee Music South, the official audio label for the film's music, both tweeted a BTS still from Madharaasi, hinting the same.

Madharaasi stars Sivakarthikeyan in a character named 'Raghu' where as actors Sanjay and Sanchana Namidass play Sivakarthikeyan's on-screen brother and sister. Madharaasi also stars Rukmini Vasanth as Malathy, Vidyut Jamwal as the villain, Biju Menon, Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prem Kumar among others.
