One of the domestic regions where Superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie has seen a rollercoaster box-office is Kerala, South India. The Sun Pictures produced big budget action thriller released in theaters on August 14, 2025, and opened with a massive Rs. 9.75 Cr gross, despite Thursday being a working weekday. 

However the Independence day weekend did little to boost Coolie's collections, with Friday and Saturday bringing Rs 5.75 Cr, and Rs. 3.25 Cr. respectively. Now after 6 days of theatrical run, Coolie's Kerala box-office stands at Rs. 22. 50 Cr. 

In its first 5 days, Coolie had raked in Rs. 21.90 Cr, generating a Rs. 9.80 Cr share and achieving 70% recovery. Trade sources indicate that crossing the 80% recovery mark would secure healthy profits for the film’s Kerala distributors, Haasan Meenu Associates.

Coolie is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and marks Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir's debut collaboration with both the filmmaker and lead star Rajinikanth. The movie has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
