Popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 is one of the highly anticipated small screen events in Tamil Nadu, and actor-host Vijay Sethupathi is expected to return for his second consecutive time this ninth season. Bigg Boss Tamil airs on Star Vijay, and the Tamil TV channel's EVP & Channel Head Krishnan Kutty has said in a media statement, 

 “It is an honour for leading directors of Tamil cinema like Nelson Pradeep Kumar and 'Amaran' director Rajkumar Periyasamy to direct the Bigg Boss show. This season will be directed by Praveen and Arjun. Viewers will be able to post comments about the contestants while watching the Bigg Boss show on Jio Hotstar.”

 

While the official announcement confirms Bigg Boss Tamil 9 will air from the first week of October, latest update is the BB Tamil 9's premiere date is October 5, 2025 (Sunday).
