Radhika Apte bashes Telugu co-star, calls Rajinikanth the nicest and most wonderful human being!

Kabali actress Radhika Apte was recently in the news for an interview she gave with Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao, where it was said that she revealed to have slapped a Tamil actor. The news, however seems to have been misinterpreted for the interview video was recently released and Radhika is seen using the word 'snapped' and not 'slapped'. Further, she was talking about her 'bizzare experience' on 'two particular Telugu films' where seems to have faced 'gender disparity.'

In the video, host Neha Dhupia is seen asking what kind of bizarre jobs her guests have done at the beginning of their career, to which Radhika Apte is seen replying that she did films in South India because they paid well. When Neha further probed if she faced any gender disparity down South, Apte said she wouldn't generalise but she faced that in 'two particular Telugu films' she did down South. She went on to say,

"You are called two hours before, you are made to wait, you are just treated differently! First day on my Telugu film..this is actually quite funny..there is this scene where I am lying...everything was set...then the actor walks in, everything is set and we've been rehearsing..and I don't even know him and he starts tickling my feet." at this point her co-guest Rajkumar Rao breaks into a laugh with a expression of disbelief on his face.
And he was a big actor. I was told that he was powerful. The natural (instinct) being who I am, I got up and I snapped at him in front of literally everybody, the whole junior artistes and everybody. I looked at him and I said don't Ever..EVER do that to me...Ever Ever..I was so angry...I kind of emphasized on the ever. He looked at me and he never touched me again."

Radhika Apte who has done Legend (2014) and Lion (2015) in Telugu was all praises for her Tamil co-star though. "But with Rajinikanth, this never happened with me. He was the nicest and the most wonderful human being", Apte added with a smile. Her co-guest Rajkumar Rao couldn't agree more and concluded, "that's why he is Thalaiva!"
