Samuthirakani's Thondan and Radha Mohan's Brindhavanam had hit the screens last weekend, and both the movies failed to make a huge impact among critics and also at the box office. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

 

1. Baahubali 2

This is perhaps the first time when a movie topped the box office table for the 5th weekend in a row. SS Rajamouli's magnum opus continued to attract audience across all centres.

 

2. Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae

Jiiva's SBKT, in spite of the mixed reviews, held on to most of the screens in its second weekend. Lack of new quality releases is helping the film's run at the box office.

 

Other Movies

Samuthirakani's Thondan and Radha Mohan's Brindhavanam opened to average occupancy levels and the reviews were also not-so-great. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Saravanan Irukka Bayamen lost majority of its screens in its third weekend, thereby becoming a below average venture.
