MovieCrow Box Office Report - March 18 to 20

Jai's Pugazh, Sawaari and few more hardly known films had hit the screens at the box office last week. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum

Vijay Sethupathi has indeed scored his hat-trick with three back to back hits - Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Sethupathi and Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum. In spite of a new release, Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum was rock solid at No.1 spot with bigger screens and more occupancy levels.

2. Pugazh

Jai's Pugazh, directed by Manimaran, received mixed reviews from critics and took a decent opening at the box office. The movie is likely to be overpowered by upcoming releases this weekend.

3. Pichaikkaran

Vijay Antony's Pichaikkaran continued to enjoy good run across reduced number of screens in the city. It'd be interesting to see if Vijay Antony continues his success streak as he has few promising movies in his kitty.

Other Movies

Vemal's Mapla Singam, Aviyal and the new release - Sawaari were lost among the crowd, while Sethupathi was running across a few screens in the city.

Upcoming week's releases

Karthi - Nagarjuna's Thozha, Zero, Santhanam's Valeba Raja and Adida Melam will be hitting the screens this weekend. The most anticipated Hollywood film, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice should give a tough fight to the Tamil films.
