The first teaser for The Court, the upcoming JioHotstar series starring Yogalakshmi and Jayaprakash, has been unveiled. The clip sets up a compelling father-daughter courtroom drama — Jayaprakash plays a powerful lawyer who once dismissed his daughter's ambitions because of her stutter, telling her it would "not only fail the law, but also fail his entire empire." Years later, Yogalakshmi stands on the opposite side of the courtroom, stutter apparently overcome, ready to take him on.

The teaser opens with Jayaprakash defending a client and seeking an adjournment, before flashing back to a younger Yogalakshmi practising her lines in a lawyer's gown. The contrast between past self-doubt and present determination sets the emotional core of the series.

The Court premieres on JioHotstar on September 4.
