A Vijay Sethupathi Show
Am amazing narration to hold this feel for the entire runtime. And it is good to see the maker treating the genre with the space it requires. The film never rushes at any point. It takes its time and this is refreshing. Given how Nalan actually has a finger on the pulse of the audience in creating t...(more)

A film that makes you smile, sad, laugh out loud and feel pain, but never bored.
Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is a whole new experience. At the minimum, it might just excite you or even go to the extent of making you jump out of joy. Knock yourself out, we say.(more)

This Remake Too Shall Pass!
Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is not as impressive as Nalan's first outing. Having said that, it makes for a decent watch, thanks to its sparkling lead pair. (more)

A classy rom-com
If the first half of the movie belongs to Madonna, while Vijay Sethupathi leads the show in second half. He clearly enjoys himself in a part with no star trappings and you simply cannot take your eyes off him. The beauty is that both Madonna and Vijay Sethupathi has played their parts convincingly ...(more)

A pretty girl's fumbling mobster lover
Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum is often predictable and ponderous, though there are some interesting shots that lift the narrative. The rain scene is one, but like most of Tamil cinema, Kumarasamys work also cries for greater refinement(more)

Simple, Subtle and Sweet
Vijay Sethupathi is at his usual best. As an actor he knows how much of emoting is enough for the scene. The scene in which he chases away his assistant to look for some other job is one example for this. A slight overreaction by the actor could have spoilt the impact. This makes Vijay Sethupathi st...(more)

One of the most interesting films that I have ever seen. Please don't compare with Soodhu kavvum. Having said that there were a few areas where Nalan could have spiced up the proceedings. Vijay character has a similar vibe of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan but Madonna did very well . good and should be watched... (more)

Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is easily one of the finest 'Relationship based' films to have come out avoiding all cliches associated with a normal love story or rom-com. I am calling this a relationship based film and not entirely a rom - com as this is more a story about 2 people having aims of varying ... (more)

Breezy Love Story Vijay Sethupathi stands out as a performer and a perfect entry for Madona into Tamil.. Simple love story but very interesting screenplay. Songs and background music are added plus to the movie. Samuthirakani portion is less but he makes strong impact. Dialogues are the best part o... (more)
