A Vijay Sethupathi Show
Am amazing narration to hold this feel for the entire runtime. And it is good to see the maker treating the genre with the space it requires. The film never rushes at any point. It takes its time and this is refreshing. Given how Nalan actually has a finger on the pulse of the audience in creating those 'whistle worthy scenes' it is an admirable restraint to keep those minimal.(more)

Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is a whole new experience. At the minimum, it might just excite you or even go to the extent of making you jump out of joy. Knock yourself out, we say.(more)

This Remake Too Shall Pass!
Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is not as impressive as Nalan's first outing. Having said that, it makes for a decent watch, thanks to its sparkling lead pair. (more)

A classy rom-com
If the first half of the movie belongs to Madonna, while Vijay Sethupathi leads the show in second half. He clearly enjoys himself in a part with no star trappings and you simply cannot take your eyes off him. The beauty is that both Madonna and Vijay Sethupathi has played their parts convincingly with great elan. (more)

Simple, Subtle and Sweet
Vijay Sethupathi is at his usual best. As an actor he knows how much of emoting is enough for the scene. The scene in which he chases away his assistant to look for some other job is one example for this. A slight overreaction by the actor could have spoilt the impact. This makes Vijay Sethupathi stand out as a performer. (more)
