Mani Ratnam directed Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 (PS-I) is an upcoming multi-starrer period drama which is gearing up to release in theaters on September 30, 2022. Previously we had reported that the film is gearing up for a teaser release this week and latest we hear it will be unveiled on July 8, 2022 i.e. Friday.

Lyca has been unveiling a new set of character posters this week and so far Vikram as Chola crown prince Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as the spy Vanthiyathevan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the vengeful Nandini, Queen of Pazhuvoor have been unveiled. 

Ponniyin Selvan backed by Lyca Productions, Madras Talkies is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
