Putting an end to ongoing speculation, actor Vijay Sethupathi has confirmed that he will be reuniting with acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam for an upcoming project. The film will also mark the first on-screen collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi, who has been roped in as the female lead.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor revealed that the new film will be completely different from their previous collaboration Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018). He also reiterated his desire to avoid repeating roles or working on remakes and sequels, stressing that he wants to retain the same passion he had when he first entered cinema.

Further details regarding the film’s genre, supporting cast and technical crew are yet to be officially announced. Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has multiple projects in various stages of production.
