Actor-director Samuthirakani has confirmed his return to the Vada Chennai universe through Arasan, directed by Vetrimaaran and headlined by Silambarasan. The actor revealed that key characters from the 2018 crime drama, including Guna (Samuthirakani), Senthil (Kishore), Rajan (Ameer), and Chandra (Andrea Jeremiah), will all be part of the upcoming film.
While speculation continues about a possible face-off between Silambarasan and Dhanush, Samuthirakani stated that he is unsure about such developments but assured that the film carries strong dramatic elements and scale. Described as “an untold tale from the world of Vada Chennai,” the project is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under V Creations, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Meanwhile, Samuthirakani is also awaiting the release of his debut web series Thadayam, directed by Navinkumar Palanivel, where he plays Sub-Inspector Athiyaman in a rural crime thriller centred on a string of mysterious midnight murders.
