After receiving heat for a botched up character poster for actor Vikram last time, makers of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 (PS1) have now unveiled a new poster which features 'Aditya Karikalan' in his full glory. "Welcome the Chola Crown Prince! The Fierce Warrior", the poster was captioned and the same can be viewed here:

Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's famous Tamil novel of the same name, PS1 primarily revolves around the three children of King Sundara Chola - Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), Kundavai (Trisha) and Arulmozhi Varman alias Ponniyin Selvan (Jayam Ravi). Part 1 of the film directed by Mani Ratnam releases in theaters on September 30, 2022 and has AR Rahman for music.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the antagonist Nandini and Karthi as Vallavaraiyan are the other main characters in this story. Lyca Productions, Madras Talkies have bankrolled the film.
