Actor Silambarasan TR cast his vote at Hindi Prachar Sabha in T Nagar, Chennai, and spoke his mind freely to the waiting media on polling day.

Noting the surge in youth participation this election — largely driven by Vijay's entry into politics — STR said it was heartening to see youngsters lining up enthusiastically. "People are already very clear; they are not in a position where they need advice," he said confidently.

When asked about the derogatory criticism Vijay faced over the much-discussed flower-throwing incident during campaigning, Silambarasan responded with quiet wisdom. "No matter which field you come from, criticism will definitely arise — you have to face it," he said, standing firmly by his contemporary.

The actor also drew a firm line when it came to his own political future. "I've just come through many different issues; please do not drag me into this now," he said with a laugh, shutting down any speculation about his entry into politics.
