Director Vignesh Raja had nothing but admiration for his lead star as the pre-release event of the upcoming Kara unfolded on Sunday. Heaping praise on Dhanush, the director described the experience of working with the actor as an education in itself. "Working with Dhanush sir felt like studying in a big university. It was a huge learning experience," he said.
Vignesh also had a special request for fans attending the release — to watch the film without spoiling it for others. He specifically urged them not to reveal the story or the interval scene, while also hinting that the opening sequence and post-interval portions are not to be missed.
Kara features an ensemble cast alongside Dhanush, including Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Karunaas, Jayaram, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Bhaskar, and Sreeja Ravi. GV Prakash Kumar returns to compose for Dhanush after Idli Kadai (2025), with lyrics penned by Yuga Bharathi and Asal Kolaar. The technical crew includes cinematographer Theni Eswar, editor Sreejith Sarang, art director Mayapandi, and action director Dinesh Kasi.
The screenplay is co-written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash. Ishari K Ganesh produces the film under Vels Film International, with Kushmitha Ganesh as co-producer.
