Sudha Kongara directed Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, Sreeleela released in theaters on January 10, 2026 (Saturday), and within the first two days of release entered the Rs. 50 Cr. club by grossing Rs. 51 Cr+ in global box office collections (GBOC). 

Dawn Pictures, producers behind Parasakthi organized a success meet in lieu of the same, and talking at the event on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, lead star Sivakarthikeyan shared,

"Yesterday (January 12, 2026) morning, my Thalaivar, Superstar Rajinikanth Sir had called. On the call he said, 'Yes Sivakarthikeyan', oh sorry his voice (modulation) comes automatically, we shouldn't do that (voice imitate). 'Very bold movie, super second half, super second half' is what he said. 

 

He (Rajinikanth) also said that I performed fantastic. Similar phone calls and wishes from the (Tamil film) industry have been pouring in. A very big thanks to all of them."

A period action drama based on the 1965 anti Hindi agitations of Tamil Nadu, Parasakthi has turned a profitable venture for the distributors, and exhibitors, shared Sivakarthikeyan on the same stage.  The film was presented in Tamil Nadu by Inbanidhi Stalin under Red Giant Movies.
