Meiyazhagan starring Karthi, Arvind Swami in the lead is an upcoming C Prem Kumar movie, that is set to release in theaters on September 27, 2024. Meiyazhagan has Govind Vasantha for music, and the composer's songs for the movie was released as a whole album, breaking the trend of singles culture in Tamil cinema after a decade and plus. 

The Meiyazhagan audio launch event took place on August 31, 2024 at Chennai, and now it is all set to be televised on Vijay TV Tamil channel. Meiyazhagan audio launch will be aired on September 21, 2024 (Saturday) at 4: 30 PM.

Film's producer Suriya was in attendance at the Meiyazhagan audio launch event, where he also spoke about his own film Kanguva, which is now releasing on November 14, 2024. Suriya's speech about 'giving way' for 'senior' Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, and hence postponing Kanguva's release date from October 10 is one of the highlights of the event. 

The Vettaiyan Vs Kanguva debate had plagued the Tamil cine enthusiasts, who anticipated a box-office clash between the two movies this Dussehra. Vettaiyan was the first film that had sent unofficial feelers that it was eyeing October 10, while Kanguva was the first film to officially announce its release date. Eventually Kanguva release date was postponed, once Vettaiyan's release date was officially announced.
