[Updated: September 7, 2024] Actress Trisha's long-rumoured cameo in The Greatest Of All Time has now been officially confirmed by the actress herself. The Greatest of All Time aka The GOAT/GOAT has a song titled Matta, which features Jeevan, the younger of the two Vijays in the movie. Matta song has a dance cameo by Trisha, and according to fans, choreographer VJ Shekar has paid perfect homage to the Vijay-Trisha pair, using their famous Appadi Podu song hook step from the blockbuster hit Gilli (2004).
Taking to Instagram recently, Trisha shared a series of Matta song BTS photos, revealing the crew that helped her get the yellow-saree look for The GOAT. Costume designer Harshene Ravichandar also took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes images with the caption, "Just another #matta gang..Costumes for #goat Trisha"
The Greatest Of All Time is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, who has previously worked with Trisha on the fan-favourite hit movie Mankatha (2011). During The Greatest Of All Time shooting, Venkat Prabhu had flown to Azerbaijan, where Trisha was shooting with her Mankatha co-star Ajith for their upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi. Venkat Prabhu had revealed in interviews during the The GOAT promotions, to have shown Ajith and Trisha footages of the Matta song.

The Greatest Of All Time's executive producer Archana Kalpathi, and AGS Entertainment's Aishwarya Kalpathi had also taken to Instagram to show love for Trisha post the movie's release. Trisha, along with the Kalpathi cousins had previously caught the first show of The Greatest Of All Time in Chennai.
