Jailer starring Rajinikanth in the lead is an upcoming Sun Pictures production written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The movie as reported previously is on track for a August 11, 2023 release, and is expected to wrap shooting by Tamil New Year i.e. April 14. Currently Jailer is gearing up for a teaser release, and MovieCrow learns Jailer teaser video will come out in May, 2023.

MovieCrow had also previously reported that team Jailer is planning for a grand audio launch in Malaysia. An official announcement on the movie's release date, teaser release date and audio launch plans are currently awaited.

Touted to be a movie based on prison and its inmates, Jailer also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Telugu actor Sunil among others. The film has Anirudh for music.
