Jailer is an upcoming Rajinikanth starrer, written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila (2018), Doctor (2021) and Beast (2022) fame. The movie with Anirudh for music is expected to hit theater screens on August 11, 2023 and latest we hear, the team is planning for a grand audio launch in Malaysia. An official announcement on the movie's release date and audio launch plans are currently awaited. 

Touted to be a film surrounding prison and its inmates, Jailer is a multi-starrer with names like Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Kannada star Shivarajkumar, Telugu actor Sunil, Sivakarthikeyan (unconfirmed), Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley among others in it. The movie is a production venture of Sun Pictures and has been shot in places like Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaisalmer, Mangalore, Cuddalore among other Indian cities.
