Director duo Pushkar - Gayatri of Vikram Vedha fame had previously tasted success in the OTT arena with their Amazon Prime Video original series Suzhal: The Vortex. A multi-starrer crime thriller, the Tamil series was created by them and now they have turned producers with another Amazon Prime Video series titled Vadhandhi.

Also a crime thriller, Vadhandhi stars SJ Suryah in the lead and is scheduled to premiere December 2, 2022 [Friday]. The streaming platform announced the same with a first-look poster featuring SJ Suryah, who is making his OTT debut with this series. 

Vandhandhi - The Fable of Velonie is an 8-episode series, and it is created by director Andrew Louis of Leelai and Kolaigaran fame. Vadhandhi is centered around Velonie, played by debutante Sanjana and it also stars Laila, Nasser, Vivek Prasanna, Kumaran, and Smruthi Venkat. Velonie's story is riddled with rumours and SJ Suryah plays a troubled but determined cop who is out to seek the truth, in a web of lies.

The A-certified series will stream in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. It has music by Simon K King.
