Beast starring Vijay in the lead is the most awaited film in Tamil cinema at the moment. The movie is releasing exactly 15 months after the actor's last outing Master, which in itself was a pioneer for releasing in theaters amid the COVID crisis. Now with Tamil Nadu gearing towards an endemic [100% occupancy in movie theaters, no mask mandates, etc], Beast is once again pioneering optimum business revival with the following SWOTs

Strengths

• Actor Vijay is the biggest strength of any movie he is a part of. His crowd-pulling star power comes in handy even for his critically unacclaimed films and not without reason. Atleast in the last decade, Vijay has ensured that his screen presence makes the viewing experience worthwhile.
  

• Director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh are the other big strengths of Beast. While the former has consistently given good movies (and is signed to direct Rajinikanth next with the same Sun Pictures production house), the latter's music has already helped boost Beast's reach.
  

• A hostage thriller with a former spy at the center is not a commonplace in Tamil cinema. This added with the scale of Beast and ample comedy promises a full package for viewers.
  

Weakness

• The story-line and plot details of Beast are mostly out at this point. Director Nelson's previous movie released under similar circumstances but still managed to engage. Same is expected for Beast too.

Opportunities

• Besides the 100% occupancy in movie theaters and no mask mandates in Tamil Nadu, the state is headed towards the longest weekend. The government has declared April 16, 2022 to be a holiday in addition to April 14 (Tamil New Year), April 15 (Good Friday) and April 17 (Easter Sunday), which means Beast will have a solid 5-day opening weekend in Tamil Nadu, where it occupies 80% screens.
  

• Beast is releasing in over 6000 screens globally and is Vijay's biggest release yet in regions like USA, UK, Kerala. It is also getting proper dubbed releases in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. All of this is ripe for a solid blockbuster and record-breaking collections.

Threats

• Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 which has a significant amount of devout fans from the previous movie KGF: Chapter 1, is releasing on April 14, 2022. This box-office competition may not disturb Beast's Tamil dominance, but KGF 2 is sure to give tough competition among other language viewers.
