Last month we had reported that Ajith's upcoming film AK 61 (tentative title) will be a heist action thriller. Latest update suggests that this heist will take place in a bank set-up and with Ajith playing a role with shades of grey, AK 61 is starting to sound more like the actor's 50th film Mankatha. 

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Mankatha released in 2011 and followed the heist of Rs. 500 Cr. cash. Ajith played a character named ACP Vinayak who had two faces - deceivingly good and villainous, similar to what he will be seen playing in AK 61.

AK 61, directed by H. Vinoth is currently gearing up to go on floors with a pooja ceremony tomorrow i.e. March 9, 2022. The official title of the film, produced by Boney Kapoor is also expected to be unveiled on Wednesday.
