No more red card woes for Silambarasan TR!

Since 2017, the word 'Red Card' has haunted actor Silambarasan TR's career. First it was due to a feud with AAA producer over unprofessionalism and then in 2019 the actor faced a huge controversy over delaying projects like Maanaadu, Pathu Thala (Mufti Remake), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya 2 with producer Vijaya Raghavendra and an untitled project with Escape Artists' Madan.

The Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) had made claims of issuing a red card for the actor and at some point did so too. As of today, this red card stands cancelled.

It is worth mentioning here that Silambarasan had started working on his delayed projects long before and currently he has completed Maanaadu and is gearing up to begin Pathu Thala. The issue however cropped up when Simbu began shooting for Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu with director Gautham Menon and producer Ishari K Ganesh.

Apparently the already aggrieved producers along with director Lingusamy had raised objection to Simbu receiving an advance from them but not beginning their projects. Ishari K Ganesh with the mediation of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and TFPC is said to have agreed to settle Lingusamy's due and sort out the rest of the complaints too.
