In contrary to the buzz that was created about movie theaters across India, the center in its new guidelines for Unlock 3.0 announced that the cinema halls throughout the country will remain closed in the upcoming month. Starting August 1, 2020 there won’t be many changes to Covid-19 containment measures in India and this includes movie theaters which will remain shut atleast till August 31, 2020. 

Entertainment related functions and other large congregations will also continue to be prohibited till August 31. These are as per the nationwide Unlock 3 guidelines issued by the government on Wednesday.
