Amid intensified election checks across Tamil Nadu due to the Model Code of Conduct, reports surfaced that 10 AK-47 rifles linked to director Lokesh Kanagaraj were seized during a flying squad inspection in Ashok Nagar.

The incident quickly gained traction online, given the nature of the weapons. However, upon further verification, officials confirmed that the rifles were dummy guns being transported for a film shoot.

After examining the relevant documents and confirming their purpose as film props, the authorities returned the weapons to the team, clarifying that there was no violation.

On the work front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently working on a big-budget project with Allu Arjun (tentatively #AA23/#LK7), with music by Anirudh Ravichander. He is also set to make his lead acting debut in DC, directed by Arun Matheswaran.
