Only recently we had reported that director Jayendra will be helming Suriya for Madras Talkies produced web-series Navarasa. But it has been revealed that it will be Gautham Menon and not Jayendra who will be directing the star-actor, making the GVM-Suriya fans go beserk with excitement. 

Though details of the set-up in which Menon and Suriya will be working remains unconfirmed, it is known that Suriya will be seen in a 'love story', a theme that comes easy for the actor-director duo (Kaakha Kaakha, Vaaranam Aayiram). While Gautham Menon's name has always been associated with Navarasa, it remains to be seen who the other 8 confirmed directors are and which star-names they will be working with. 

Though OTT has been the new-normal for the Tamil film audience due to the pandemic, this Mani Ratnam produced Navarasa is expected to be a game-changer like Money Heist for Netflix, mainly because of the scale of production and the names involved. It is worth mentioning here that a part of the profit from this series will be donated towards COVID19-aid for Kollywood workers.
