June was particularly a bizarre month for Rajinikanth what with the whole fiasco about Bollywood actor Rohit Roy and his "joke" about Rajini and Corona followed by the recent hoax bomb call to the Superstar's residence, which later was found to be the doing of a bored tween (The class 8 student's father even released a video pleading Rajini to forgive his son).
However, cinematographer Richard M Nathan watered down this roller-coaster of awkwardness by giving the Superstar fans something to be truly excited about. Unveiling a never before seen image from the photoshoot of Enthiran from back in 2008, Richard revealed that paint was used to make Rajini look the way he did in the photographs.
This was a photoshoot I did for #enthiran in 2008.

He also said that back when the first image was revealed to the audience, many misconstrued it to be CGI (such was the level of make-up and photography).
