After director Shankar appeared before the Central Crime Branch to be questioned by CCB officer G Nagajothi and have his statement recorded, Indian 2 lead actor Kamal Haasan appeared before the officials on Tuesday with respect to the freak crane accident that left 3 dead and 10 injured on the sets of Indian 2. 

The recording of Mr. Haasan's statement lasted till 1 p.m. and talking to media, Mr. Haasan stated that he had appeared before the police on summon as one of witnesses to the incident. “I also was one of those who had a close shave on the day of the accident. I explained what happened on the day”, he said.

The accident took place on February 19, when a crane carrying heavy camera equipment fell from sky high level to ground, killing assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandran and production assistant Madhu and leaving over 10 others injured. Shankar, Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal had a narrow escape from the accident.
