While the shooting of Vijay's 'Master' is progressing at a brisk pace, the business of the movie is already red hot in the trade. Vijay is undoubtedly one of the most successful and bankable stars in Kollywood today. His last outing 'Bigil' which emerged as the highest grosser of 2019 is solid proof of it. There is always a huge demand to procure the theatrical as well as non-theatrical rights of his film. 

The film's title as well as the first look poster of the film which is making waves on social media was unveiled officially on the eve of New Year. Even before the revealing the film's title the non-theatrical rights of the film like Digital rights, Satellite and audio rights were sold for record price to Amazon Prime, Sun TV and Sony Music respectively. 

As for the theatrical rights, the Telugu rights (AP / TG) has been acquired by Mahesh S Koneru who has previously bought Bigil / Whistle rights. Following the success of the film in Telugu states, he has bagged the rights of 'Master' as well. The Karnataka rights of Master has been sold to Dheeraj Enterprises. 

The negotiations are underway for Kerala rights. Listen Stephen's Magic Frames Banner which earlier acquired the distribution rights of 'Bigil' is said to be the front runner for 'Master' rights in Kerala. It is worth mentioning that Bigil emerged as the highest grossing Tamil movie in Kerala in 2019. 

The deal for the other area rights is expected to be locked soon even before the film's completion. According to sources, all the rights have been sold for a fancy price and has turned out to be a profitable venture for the makers already. 

Master starring Vijay, Vijay Sethupathy, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea, Sriman and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.  The film produced by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators, the company's first production has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
