In 2019, Vijay's Bigil which collected Rs. 19.5 cr has emerged as the highest grossing Tamil film in Kerala.  Also the film has joined the list of Top Grossing films in Kerala and has bagged the fifth place among other Malayalam movie releases in 2019. Vijay has a massive fan following in Kerala, The blockbuster success of Bigil in Kerala is a proof that he is one of the biggest box office kings in the state.
