While Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of Thalapathy 64 directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, speculations are rife that Sun Pictures will be bankrolling the actor's 65th film (Thalapathy 65 / Vijay 65). Multiple reports state that Vijay will be beginning his 65th film in the Summer of 2020 and he will be reuniting with the banner which produced his 2018 outing Sarkar. 

However an official confirmation is awaited on the same. We had earlier reported that director Magizh Thirumeni of Thadam fame has narrated an action script to Vijay and that film is looking to begin by June, 2020. Only time can tell if the three mentioned named are indeed joining forces for Thalapathy 65. 

It is worth mentioning here that director A.R. Murugadoss's name is also being associated with Thalapathy 65 and if it materializes, it will be the director's fourth film with Vijay after Thuppaki, Kaththi and Sarkar.
