Among the Indian twitter trends that made it big in the first half of 2019 i.e. between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019, Tamil film Viswasam which starred actor Ajith in the lead has made it to the No. 1 position. The other hashtag from the entertainment side to make it to the top 5 trends, is the Telugu film Maharshi starring Mahesh Babu.
The announcement was made on the occasion of Twitter celebrating its 12th year of hashtag reveals, which they now call it their '#HashtagDay'. This is indeed a big milestone for the South Indian film entertainment sector this year, especially since they thrive alongside an Indian film industry with a bigger and wider reach, Bollywood.
