Actor Vijay's upcoming sports-entertainer Bigil is one of the highly anticipated Tamil movies of 2019. While a majority of the film's shooting wrapped earlier this month, the remaining filming and the dubbing work for the movie are going on simultaneously right now. The movie is expected to hit theater screens for Diwali this year, though word in the trade is that Bigil's release is anticipated sooner. 

Buzz is that team Bigil is looking at cashing in on the Diwali weekend, and since Diwali this year falls on a Sunday i.e. October 27, 2019, the Atlee directorial is most likely to release by October 24, 2019 (Thursday) or October 25, 2019 (Friday). The weekdays following the Diwali Sunday being variable holidays ensures a solid collection of at-least 4-5 days straight, if Bigil did release on October 24 or 25. 

Produced by AGS Entertainment, Bigil has Vijay playing dual roles, and will focus on women's football in Tamil Nadu. The film has Nayanthara playing female lead and has A.R. Rahman for music.
