Shankar directed Indian 2 which has Kamal Haasan returning as the vigilante 'Senapathy' is well on track to resume shooting from August 19, 2019 and the cast of the film keeps getting revealed as the time closes by. Only recently we had reported that in addition to Kajal Aggarwal, Nedumudi Venu (CBI Officer Krishnaswamy), Delhi Ganesh and R.J. Balaji, actors Aishwarya Rajesh, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bollywood-import Vidyut Jammwal are also part of the cast-board. 

Now, it has been revealed that actor Siddharth who has been long-speculated to be a part of the film has a pair in Indian 2, which will be portrayed by actress Rakul Preet Singh. Reportedly, she would be playing the love interest of Siddharth who in-turn plays the Senapathi's grandson and Chandru's son, both of whom was portrayed by Kamal Haasan in the prequel. 

Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and is expected to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film has Anirudh for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography, Sreekar Prasad for edits. T. Muthuraj for art, Kabilan Vairamuthu for dialogues and Thamarai for lyrics.
