Last year, the makers of 2.0 announced that Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 will have a huge release across 10,000 theaters in China and the dubbed/subtitled versions of the Shankar directorial will be presented in the country by HY Media.

The distributors have now confirmed that the film will be releasing in China on July 12 and the Chinese version of the film has been titled as Bollywood Robot 2.0: Resurgence.

2.0 is a sci-fi film which marks the return of 'Chitti the robot' (played by Rajinikanth) from its spiritual prequel Enthiran, and is about how he helps fight a threat that is hell bent on destroying the human race.
