Petta and Viswasam are two big movies release that released on the same day (January 10, 2019) and gave us a Thala vs Thalaivar showdown like never before at the box-office. In  the 11 days since their releases, both Petta and Viswasam have maintained a steady collection and have gone on to gross Rs. 11.94 Cr (former) and Rs. 9.65 Cr (latter) in Chennai city alone.

Both Petta and Viswasam are in their profit zone on their 11th day i.e today and have entered Rs. 100 Cr club at the worldwide box-office. Also, Petta with its collection of Rs. 11.94 Cr has placed Rajinikanth with 3 movies in the top 6 Chennai city grossers; 2.0 (at No. 1) and Kabali (at No.5) being the other two films (top 5 list here).
