Maari 2 starring Dhanush and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles is directed by Balaji Mohan. The gangster comedy film is a sequel to Maari which hit the screens in 2015. Vijay TV which has bagged the satellite rights of the film shared the news on their Twitter page. 

Maari 2 is set to hit the screens on December 21, 2018 for Christmas. Tovino Thomas plays the villain. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna and Robo Shankar among others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music of this movie. Produced by Wunderbar films, the first look poster, character posters of Sai Pallavi and Krishna and movie stills were released recently.
