One of Kollywood's highly anticipated films this holiday, Vijay starrer Sarkar brings back the successful actor-director combo of Vijay and A.R. Murugadoss. Be it it Vijay's stylish looks or political background of the film or the fact that Vijay will be seen playing a 'Zorro' like character in it, Sarkar promises to be a complete package of 'fire-works' for Vijay's fans and it sure would be interesting to see the response it receives at the box-office.

Going up against a film like Sarkar is definitely raises a lot of eye-brows and Vijay Antony recently gave an explanation for releasing his film on Diwali. He said, "I am bringing the films to screen because holding it any longer will affect the lives of the director and technicians..My last two films did not run well and I have a lot of debt to clear..The plot of Thimiru Pudichavan revolves around Diwali so we thought it would be apt to release now."

Producer R.K. Suresh announced a while ago that his film Billa Pandi, in which he plays an ardent Ajith fanatic will be releasing during the Diwali holiday.

It is worth mentioning here that these films will only have two weeks to prove their mettle before Rajinikanth's mega-budgeted 2.0 releases on November 29, 2018.
