As reported earlier, Simbu will be teaming up with Sundar C for the first time for the Tamil remake of Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi, written and directed by Trivikram. Simbu has left to Georgia for the film shoot which begins today. Mega Akash who is already a part of Enai Noki Payyum Thotta, Boomerang and Rajinikanth's untitled film in Tamil has been roped in as the female lead. Here's STR's new look for the film.

The untitled project is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The film reportedly will be a quickie and the makers are planning to release the film in January 2019 for Pongal or on Republic Day.

STR is awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which is slated for release on September 27. He will also start shooting for Venkat Prabhu's political thriller "Maanaadu" which is expected to go on floors in October.
