2.0: Rs. 500 crore,3000 technicians for Shankar, Rajinikanth's film!

On Monday international magazine Variety claimed on one of its covers that Rajinikanth's upcoming film 2.0 is one of the first films in India to spend 75 million dollars (Rs. 500 crore approx.) as its budget. This was acknowledged by director of the film, Shankar who added that close to 3000 technicians from all over the world worked on it, which seems to be a huge number for an Indian film.

If one may recall, during a video feature on BBC, Ray Hannisian whom we recognize as the lead sterographer from 2.0 3D featurette had said that, this film was the ultimate dream for anyone working in the visuals / VFX department. And the same was reflected in the cover of Variety magazine too who called 2.0 a 'VFX wonder'.

2.0 is currently gearing up for a teaser release in both 2D and 3D and will be hitting theatre screens on November 29, 2018. It sure would be mighty interesting to see what the film has in store for us.
