Director Shankar's hugely anticipated sci-fi extravaganza, '2.0' is set to hit the screens on November 29, 2018. The teaser of the film is set to be launched on September 13 on Vinayaga Chathurthi. The makers have officially announced that the teaser will be released in both 2D and 3D formats. 

The film has been completely shot in 3D. The makers are planning to screen the teaser in 3D across India and abroad in select theatres. For the first time in Indian cinema, a movie teaser is being released in 3D format. The teaser will release on YouTube in 2D and across all screens in India and Abroad in 2D as well. Lyca Productions issued a statement on their Twitter page.

Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson starrer 2.0 is the sequel of the 2010 film 'Enthiran'. The film has been making a huge buzz ever since its announcement. The film reportedly is made on a humongous budget of over Rs 360 crore. AR Rahman has scored the music. 2.0 is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The VFX work of the film is  happening in full swing.

In 2.0, Rajinikanth will reprise his Enthiran role as Dr Vaseegaran and the robot Chitti, while Akshay Kumar will essay the antagonistic part of the evil scientist Dr Richard. The film also marks Akshay's debut in the Tamil film industry.
