If reports are anything to go by, then actor Fahadh Faasil who was last seen in Tamil playing villain to Sivakarthikeyan in Velaikkaran, has been roped in to play a crucial role in the upcoming Rajinikanth-Karthik Subbaraj film, the crew of which will begin their second schedule of shooting come July 15, 2018. [In a recent public interaction, Rajinikanth confirmed that the team will be returning to Dehradhun to resume shooting].
Fahadh's name is the latest to be added to the movie's cast which already has Vijay Sethupathi, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha, Simran, Sanath Reddy and Munish Kanth among others. Reports also suggest that Fahadh will be seen playing Rajinikanth's friend in the movie with a lot of combination scenes with Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made by the team.
Produced by Sun Pictures, this yet untitled film is touted to be Rajinikanth's last film before he takes on politics as a full-time career and has him playing an army-returned college professor. It has Anirudh Ravichander for music and Tirru for cinematography, while singer SPB is expected to croon a number for his beloved hero Rajinikanth.
