Sarkar: Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's role, A.R. Rahman's theme music & other recent updates!

 

While it is known that Vijay's upcoming film with director A.R. Murugadoss, Sakar has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing a pivotal role, it has recently been revealed that she will be seen in the role of the Chief Minister's daughter. As we already know, the role of the CM is played by actor Radha Ravi who is the main villain of the film; hence it is to be seen if Varalaxmi's character too will have shades of grey to it.
 
On the other hand, the team which has wrapped close to 70% of its shooting is all set for an USA schedule has reportedly sold its theatrical rights for Tamil region to Mersal producers Sri Thenandal Films. Reports also suggest that the film is gearing up for an audio and trailer launch in October, 2018 just before the film release for Diwali (November, 2018).
  
Another important update on the film is that composer AR Rahman, who showed us a glimpse of his music from the film in Sarkar's first look video, has come up with a theme music for this Vijay starrer. Considering there wasn't a dedicated theme score for the composer's earlier films with Vijay (Mersal, ATM, Udhaya), this development has definitely aroused curiosity among fans.
