Vijay's Sarkar to be on the lines of Rajinikanth's Sivaji?

Only a few days ago, it was revealed that the A.R. Murugadoss directed Sarkar, which starrs Vijay in the lead was originally written for Rajinikanth. It was also revealed that Sarkar at that time was intended to be an action-packed political drama. Now, word has it that the Sarkar will be on the lines of Rajinikanth's earlier 2007 film Sivaji, which was about a well-to-do Indian returning from US to his home country, in dreams of giving back to the society and facing corrupt men in power.

Interestingly, Vijay was earlier said to be playing a well-to-do businessman who is able to afford Rolls Royce, chartered flights and the recent update of an intro song being shot at Vegas as a montage for Vijay's character only says about his residency in the film. Added to this, the picture leaks from the film's shooting sets (depicting a cutout of Radha Ravi as the chief minister and another banner with words suggesting Pala Karuppaiah rejoining the party after revolting against it) proved that Vijay will be up against villains who play highly powerful politicians in the film.

However, despite the factors being similar, only time can tell if Sarkar will be another Sivaji or a whole different movie altogether.
